ASA Patient Focused Certification Training Day

This training day is intended to provide students with the newly updated PFC Core Cannabis Training courses as well as California state compliance training. Students attending the training day will be provided with an access code so that they may use the PFC online training portal to take course exams and get training certificates as well as take the National Cannabis Standards Training course (cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, or laboratory operations) of their choice online.

ASA - Americans for Safe Access are excited to announce that they will be having a guest speaker from the Department of Cannabis Regulations that will be attending the training event. Rocky Wiles will discuss DCR's commitment to compliance and answer questions attendees may have.

ASA is also excited to be able to offer the class to remote learners! If you can't make it in person you can still attend the training online via Zoom Webinar.

Course Details:

  1. Understanding Cannabis Law ​​(1 hour)
    The course is an overview of federal cannabis laws, the history of medical cannabis laws, which states have medical cannabis laws, and the conflict between state and federal laws. The course also includes a Federal Law Enforcement interaction and raid preparedness training component.
  2. Cannabinoids as Medicine​​ (2 hour)
    The course gives participants an overview of the most current cannabis research, how cannabinoids works in the body, different varieties of cannabis and cannabinoids, and the various cannabis-based pharmaceuticals currently available.
  3. Business Operations ​​(1.5 hour)
    The course teaches how to deliver the best quality of care to customers, how to handle interactions with Federal Law Enforcement, what to do in an emergency situation, and how to ensure the safety of cannabis products.
  4. California State Compliance Training (SSCT)​​ (2 hour)
    This course is designed to give individuals a comprehensive foundation of knowledge of the laws pertaining to California cannabis businesses, as well as, the regulations that govern day to day operations.
