Ministry of Industry of the Czech Republic Presents Medical Cannabis Research Institute to International Community, US and Canadian Medical Cannabis Industry.
(New York City) Bohemian National Hall is hosting "Current Status, Developments and Challenges – Cannabis in Medicine & Science" conference organized by International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute (ICCI) in cooperation witch Czech Invest a program of the Ministry of Industry.
ICCI brings to conference world-known experts to speak about recent developments in medical cannabis, possibilities for investments in Czech Republic, regulatory environment in the EU, international policy and global medical cannabis laws, and medical cannabis therapeutics role in the future of medicine.
Steph Sherer, founder of Americans for Safe Access and co-founder of ICCI will be moderating the event. "It is a great honor to have the support of the Czech Ministry of Industry for ICCI and to present in front of an international audience. We founded ICCI in the Czech Republic to ensure that research on medical cannabis could move forward as it has been blocked in the US for decades.”
One of the key speakers at the conference is Ethan Russo, MD. who is a neurologist, psychopharmacology researcher, and former Senior Medical Advisor to GW Pharmaceuticals. He served as study physician to GW Pharmaceuticals for three Phase III clinical trials of Sativex. Participants will also hear from Pavel Pachta, former deputy Secretary of The International Narcotics Control Board, Tomas Sadilek, who joined the ICCI in the position of Director of Government Affairs. He brings with him extensive experience from the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic in the field of Legal and Illegal Drugs. He represented the Czech Republic in all drug related meetings in United Nations institutions (Vienna, New York), and Tomas Lysak who worked for the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic as a Head of Science and Research Coordination Unit.
