Masary Memorial Cancer Institute (MMCI) is a unique center of European stature. Since the inception in 1935, MMCI has included scientific research on the main activities for which the organization was founded, which includes clinical, applied, and basic research.
In cooperation with the university and other educational institutions, the institute is also an important base for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and specialist training.
The Institute is the only representative of the Czech Republic, a member of the Organization of European Cancer Institutes (OECI - Organization of European Cancer Insitutes) and through their own research center RECAMO, are involved in a network of European research infrastructures.
